Revolutionizing an Industry: One Franchise at a Time

We get asked all the time why we decided to license our business back in 2008 instead of franchising. The biggest reason? We wanted to really tap into the entrepreneurial spirit and let someone build a business in their own way — that was extremely important to us at the time. Instead of developing a soup-to-nuts franchise model, we were focused on licensing intellectual property — the Apex brand and our trademarked sales approach, Flipside™ — along with our national exclusive on the Signature 8000; which at the time was the latest in triple-glazed replacement windows. The license approach was working and by 2015 we had opened 15 new markets. As the company grew we began to incorporate new technology, an updated product, and in-depth training programs like Agoge and The Regiment. We quickly realized that we needed to be able to offer more support if our markets were going to continue to grow. Our solution? Convert our license model to a Franchise.
By adopting a franchising model we are able to guarantee consistency, customer accommodations, training, and technological advances that no competitor could ever hope to achieve! Additionally, we provide our franchisees with support from a dedicated National Developer and epic training programs — we have their backs! Originally we felt that tapping into the “entrepreneurial spirit” was the most important element, but since switching to a franchise we strongly believe that building teams and establishing a culture of success is the most rewarding aspect of owning a business. Our franchise program not only encourages that, but works hard to develop great leaders in our franchisees; allowing them to reap those rewards.
So where are we now and what does the future hold for us? Since we have converted to a Franchise, all 15 of our locations have made the switch with us! We have already opened two brand new locations in Milwaukee and Tampa. Lastly, franchising opens the doors for tremendous growth, because we are now able to promote the franchise opportunity in ways we’ve never been able to before as a licensing company. We’re taking our first step by participating in one of the largest franchise shows, the International Franchise Expo, in New York City on June 16th-18th. There will be franchise prospects from all over the country in attendance so watch out because we could be coming to your city next! We’re very excited about this new chapter in our company’s story and look forward to reaching our goal of revolutionizing the industry.
