Apex Energy Solutions of Denver co-owners Scott Call (top left) and Ryan McClish both grew up and attended college in Ohio, but it took separate moves to Colorado for the pair to meet. Once they did find each other, they quickly realized they had a lot in common, including a love of outdoor sports and an entrepreneurial spirit.

As Scott was growing up in Dublin, Ohio, he had no idea his future business partner was a short drive away in Cincinnati. And as Ryan was earning his B.A. in finance from Miami University, he didn't know his future cohort was getting his business communications degree down the road at Ohio University. After graduating, Scott and Ryan made their separate ways to Denver, where they crossed paths for the first time. Three years later, in June of 2009, the friends partnered to open Apex Energy Solutions in Denver, where they provide homeowners with the windows they need to make their homes energy efficient … and where they ski, hike and camp together whenever possible.
